Warranty Policy

Applies to: Domestic and commercial refrigerators primarily intended for food storage
1. Legal Warranty Coverage
In accordance with:
- Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 of November 16, which approves the consolidated text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users (Ley General para la Defensa de los Consumidores y Usuarios)
- And Directive (EU) 2019/771 on certain aspects concerning contracts for the sale of goods
Tech Volt Market provides a legal warranty of 3 years for domestic-use refrigeration appliances and 1 year for commercial-use refrigeration units, unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
2. Scope of Warranty
The warranty covers manufacturing defects or non-conformity with the product description that arise during the warranty period, including but not limited to:
- Faulty compressors
- Malfunctioning temperature control systems
- Internal cooling failure not caused by misuse
If a product fails due to such issues, Tech Volt Market will, at no cost to the buyer, proceed with:
- Repair of the product
- Replacement with an equivalent model
- Or refund if repair or replacement is impossible
The buyer has the right to choose between these options, except where the chosen solution is impossible or disproportionate under Article 119 of RDL 1/2007.
3. Exclusions
Warranty does not cover:
- Improper installation, misuse, or negligence
- Physical damage (e.g., cracks, dents, broken shelves) due to handling or transport by the buyer
- Wear-and-tear parts such as gaskets, bulbs, or door hinges
- Refrigerators used outside of manufacturer specifications (e.g., commercial fridge used in domestic conditions or vice versa)
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
4. Commercial Use Clause
For refrigeration equipment clearly intended for commercial use (e.g., restaurant storage, display fridges), the warranty period is limited to 12 months, as allowed under Article 114 of RDL 1/2007, which distinguishes between consumer and professional users.
5. Reporting a Defect
To make a warranty claim, please email holger.wager@gmail.com with:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the issue
- Photographic or video evidence, if applicable
- Your contact details
We may request the unit to be inspected or returned for technical analysis. In such cases, we will coordinate return shipping or technician dispatch where applicable.
6. Manufacturer Warranty
Some products may include an additional manufacturer warranty (e.g., up to 5 years). These warranties are optional, and any claims under them must be directed to the manufacturer unless stated otherwise.
Tech Volt Market will assist in facilitating communication with the manufacturer where possible.
7. Response Time
We aim to respond to all warranty claims within 3 working days.
Valid claims are typically resolved within 7–14 working days, depending on the nature of the fault and availability of parts or replacement units.
